AEC Risk Record Informal Votes

28 Apr 2016

Update (20th June): Ray Hadley has received clarification from the Electoral Commissioner who has stated that a '1' vote only above the line in the Senate will be counted as a formal vote. However, this information has not been passed onto AEC staffers who are telling voters at prepoll that they MUST vote 1-6 above the line. Due to staff not being trained adequately in the new legislation, One Nation is now requesting that people vote 1-6 above the line so that their vote can be counted. We believe that the major parties have instructed the AEC to tell people vote 1-6 as a way of bringing the 'preferences' back to them, rather than the vote 'exhausting'. We request that you leave the major parties out of your votes in the Senate. Please download your 'How To Vote' guide and take it to the polling booth with you. Read More

Malcolm Turnbull and Julie Bishop showed their hand today by asking our Prime Minister Tony Abbott, to step aside or call a party room ballot.

It's not just Bronwyn Bishop

03 Aug 2015

The Bronwyn Bishop saga over her spending $5,227.00 on a helicopter flight from Melbourne to Geelong to attend a Liberal Party fundraising function, brought about a warranted public outcry, and opened a can of worms for further investigation of her travel expenses. In doing so, this also produced evidence that she used parliamentary travel entitlements to attend weddings that she was not entitled to claim. She did apologise eventually; the opposition called for her head to roll and she has now stood down as Speaker of the Parliament.  Read More
